Beaches in Kamares

Despite the fact that Kamares is a port, it is one of the cleanest beaches in Sifnos. The beach, is rewarded since 2002 with blue flag. The sandy beach is almost 150 metres long and links Kamares with Agia Marina. If you wish shady place, the trees along the beach will offer you their shade. The last years have been added also umbrellas with the essential deck-chairs, available for rent. In combination with the small canteen that offers refreshments, juices and sandwiches, the beach of Kamares is changed in a place where you can spend most of your day.
If again you want to avoid the crowded beach and you are fond of rocky coastlines, you can swim to Saint Marina and enjoy the spotless waters with the rocks and the sandy bottom.

Of course there are also secret places for swimming in Kamares, depending on your mood. The so called ‘cave’, that is found precisely next to the port is offered for plunges. Actually the cave is a small marina and a place where in the old days the boats were positioned for maintainance. There you will have a lot of space you can unfold your towel for sun bath

A little further you will find an astonishing small beach with pebble. For you that you want to avoid the indiscreet eyes and swim in spotless waters, this beach is the ideal choice.
